  • Please come to the appointment with a clean face (no makeup, moisturizer, etc.).

    We begin by thoroughly cleansing the skin to remove makeup, oil, and surface impurities. This creates a clean foundation for treatment and helps ensure optimal results.

  • Your comfort is our priority. We apply a prescription, pharmacy-prepared BLT numbing cream to maximize comfort throughout the procedure.

    The numbing process takes approximately 30 minutes to allow the skin to fully anesthetize before treatment begins.

  • Once the skin is numb, we perform a second cleanse to fully remove the numbing cream and further prep the skin.

    The treatment area is then cleansed with 100% alcohol to support sterility and ensure the skin is properly prepared for the procedure.

  • The SkinPen device is then used to create controlled microchannels in the skin.

    This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response and promotes collagen remodeling, helping improve overall skin texture, tone, and appearance.

  • Following the procedure, a CO₂ cooling mask is applied for approximately 45 minutes.

    This step helps calm the skin, reduce post-treatment erythema, and support the skin’s recovery process.

Post-Treatment Recovery

The Carboxy CO₂ Mask is a professional post-procedure treatment commonly used after microneedling and other skin-stimulating procedures to support recovery and improve skin oxygenation.

  • The mask utilizes a carboxytherapy principle, in which a topical gel and activator sheet interact to generate carbon dioxide (CO₂) on the surface of the skin.

    This reaction triggers the Bohr effect, a physiological process where increased CO₂ levels signal the body to deliver more oxygen to the surrounding tissue.

    As oxygen delivery increases, microcirculation in the treated area improves, which can support tissue repair and enhance the skin’s natural recovery process following procedures such as microneedling.

  • Following treatments like SkinPen® microneedling, the CO₂ mask can help:

    • Increase tissue oxygenation

    • Improve microcirculation

    • Reduce post-treatment redness and inflammation

    • Support cellular repair and recovery

    As the reaction begins, patients may notice mild bubbling or a tingling sensation, which is normal and indicates the CO₂ exchange is occurring.

    The mask typically remains on the skin for approximately 45 minutes, allowing the skin to fully benefit from the oxygenation process before being gently removed.
