A Gentler, Refined Approach

While microneedling and microchanneling may sound similar, they differ significantly in technique, depth, and recovery.

  • Microneedling uses a motorized pen or manual dermaroller to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. The device typically uses a dragging or stamping motion with needles that penetrate anywhere from 0.25 mm to 2.5 mm into the skin.

    This can cause more inflammation, pinpoint bleeding, and a longer recovery time of 2–5 days and ideal for reducing deeper concerns like acne scars, deep wrinkles, and stretch marks.

  • In contrast, microchanneling (like the ProCell system) utilizes a precision-controlled stamping device with fixed-depth, fine needles that create clean, uniform micro-channels in the skin.

    This method is less traumatic, reduces inflammation, and allows for better absorption of advanced serums, especially those infused with stem cell-derived growth factors.

    Microchanneling is designed for more consistent results and faster healing, with minimal redness and a recovery time of just 1–2 days. It’s particularly effective for improving hydration, brightness, and overall skin texture.

Plan Accordingly For Your Treatment

Duration: 1.5-2 Hours. The duration of treatment is dependent on how large the desired treatment zone is.

Recovery Period: 90 Minutes (slight redness)

Frequency: Treatment can be repeated monthly for the facial area. Hair treatments can be repeated every 2 weeks and body treatments can be repeated every 3 weeks.

  • Please come to the appointment with a clean face (no makeup, moisturizer, etc.).

    We will clean your face before beginning treatment.

    While the procedure is relatively painless, numbing cream may be applied if needed.

  • Procell Microchanneling treatment tips are removable, and we ensure that the tips are sterile and properly disinfected between patients.

    We will gently stamp the device on your preferred treatment area. Then we will apply Procell’s Growth Factor serum.

  • To maximize treatment, we will also provide LED light therapy with LightStim+ Elipsa, designed to treat both wrinkles and acne with one device.

    This will help to elevate the results of the skin treatment to promote healthy, radiant skin that glows from within.

  • With minimal physical discomfort, most clients are able to do the procedure without numbing cream and without any noticeable pain.

    There is no lingering discomfort, and we have a number of strategies we employ to minimize discomfort during treatment.

    Post-procedure, most people report a “tight” feeling in their skin.

  • Microchanneling treatments can improve the appearance of:

    • Fine lines and wrinkles

    • Hyperpigmentation

    • Acne scarring

    • Stretch marksr

    • Rosacea.

  • As Procell microchanneling treatments are minimally invasive, they are also safe for all skin types.

    Whether you are fair-skinned or dark, and even if you experience chronic breakouts, properly conducted microchanneling treatments will not result in hyperpigmentation, keloid scars, or other lasting negative side effects.

  • Though neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen) can take several weeks, it is not abnormal to notice an improvement in the quality and appearance of your skin within the first 24 hours.

    After 2-3 treatments a thicker more robust, collagen filled cellular matrix will produce more consistent and noticeable improvement.

    And 6 or more treatments may be recommended for scarring, laxity and wrinkles.

  • If you have any underlying condition that significantly impairs your immune system, it is a good idea to avoid microchanneling. Examples include but are not limited to:

    • Active radiation or chemotherapy

    • Uncontrolled diabetes

    • Chronic inflammatory skin disease

    • Accutane in the past 2 years

    • Hemophilia or similar bleeding disorder

    • Anyone with stainless steel allergies should not do this treatment.

    • We also discourage treatments for those who are pregnant or nursing.

  • Procell's Microchannel Delivery Serum contains bone marrow-derived growth factors in a hyaluronic acid suspension.

    Both of these elements are naturally-occurring in the human body. There are no human, animal, or plant cells, DNA, blood, or any other foreign substances.

    The product has been used safely and effectively for over a decade.
